What to expect when you pay the booking amount for a plot or floor at Reliance MET City.
The booking amount is the first payment that reserves a plot, villa plot or floor for you. At Reliance MET City it is set by METL for each inventory and offer, so it can differ between, for example, a Sector 8 plot and a Metropolis plot.
Rather than quote a figure that may be out of date, this page explains how the booking amount works, the legal limit on advances and how to pay safely.
The developer fixes a booking or expression-of-interest amount for each launch or inventory, either as a flat sum or a percentage of the cost. It is then adjusted against the total price in the payment plan. Ask for it in writing on the cost sheet.
Section 13 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 says a promoter cannot accept more than 10% of the cost of a plot or unit as an advance or application fee without first entering into a written agreement for sale and registering it. This applies to RERA-registered projects in Haryana.
At the reported launch rate of ₹99,000 per sq. yd., a 112 sq. yd. plot costs about ₹1.11 crore before charges. Ten per cent of that is about ₹11 lakh, which would be the maximum advance before a registered agreement. Your actual booking amount may be lower. See the price list.
After booking, you receive an allotment letter and sign the agreement, then pay as per schedule. Read the full booking guide and current offers.
Information on this page is indicative and based on publicly available sources and project material at the time of writing. Prices, timelines and specifications are subject to change. Please verify the plot, phase and charges with METL, check the Haryana RERA registration for the specific phase, and have documents reviewed by an independent lawyer before paying.
METL sets it per inventory and offer. Ask for the exact figure in writing on a dated cost sheet before paying.
It depends on the allotment terms and the stage of cancellation. Read the cancellation clause carefully before you pay.
Under Section 13 of the RERA Act, a promoter should not take more than 10% of the cost as an advance before a registered agreement for sale.
Only by cheque, DD or bank transfer to METL's official account, and always against an official receipt.
